For the complete Noob looking for a very cheap and a simple entry point to coin collecting, the coins of the "late" Her Majesty The Queen, can be the most economical and the easiest way to coin collecting. There are many annual sets that provide a full collection of a coins from amy given year. These sets offer a comprehensive introduction to the world of collecting that suit a range of budgets.
With the Queen passing yesterday, the 2022 annual set, would be a great starting point, and has thenpotential for a big return in years to come.
The queen was the longest-reigning monarch in Uak royal history, her coins span the past 70 years. Such a long reign covers many momentous events in British history, and specific year sets, such as start and ends of world wars, can now fetch a pretty penny.
UK first decimal coinage set
The United Kingdom has seen plenty of change(no pun intended), to its coinage during her time on the thrown. A big change came with the introduction of decimalisation. Joining and leaving the European Union and shifts in the UK’s political landscape, has produced a great number of collectable coins that are more affordable than historic coinage.
2009 Kew Gardens 50p(£0.50)
Whilst some coins can be found cheaply enough, or even in your pocket change, there are plenty of valuable coins that bear Her Majesty’s likeness. With a span of just ofern70yrs, you can undertand the amount of coinage bearing her effigy.
2021 Solid Gold - Queens Beast completer coin
There are many, many, many coins available to collectors and most cost a few pence to a few pounds, but there are a few that change hands for tens of thousands. Gold and silver coins are always saught after by hard-core investors, and these usually offer the best returns for people looking to flip further down the line.
So if youre thinking of starting, then can i strongly suggest youcstart with these coins..... Her death will onlynkick start a new set of collectors and drive the price of her coins up.

If this coin is no longer minted then there will be more demand for this coin making it a good investment.
Exactly..... well in theory anyways!! Now that the queen has died, her son Charles III automatically becomes king, and all coins now minted will bare his effigy. So while the 2022 annual sets have Elizabeth II image on them, the 2023 annual set will have her son, Charles III on the reverse. As future collectors temd to flock towards the FIRST and LAST coins of a king/queens reign, then picki g up both the 2022 and 2023 sets may be a very good future investment
Not sure about the coin sets, but that sovereign I’ll take one of those, one of my favorite Gold coins of all time!🤗
Sewn into flight jackets of American bombers during the war tthego to gold coin!💪
Paper is just paper, it doesnt matter what number you put on it, its just paper. Gold was, has, is and always will be money.
Spot on my friend!!🤗
A friend of ours that we hike with, is so quick to get rid of any Gold she finds at a yard sales, she wants that paper money🙄
I'll take the Gold!!🤗
That queens beast coin is very nice.
And very expensive. The demand for thisncoin was astronomical!! The RM took full advantage and made a massive mark up (and profit)....
This is the 60th Anniversary coin.
Do you think the 1976 would be expensive?
May she rest in peace!

Gold is always expensive. I have a dew sovereigns myself, and to be honest most are proced to sell at just over spot. Unless thisnis a very rare, low minted year, it shouldnt cost the earth
She will forever be missed and the coins shared are really beautiful and nice.
The trouble with nice looking coins is that they are always expensive...
Will the Royal Mint be the first to put out an obverse of King Charles 2022?

Liklihood is that they would follow previous traditions, and not start minting new coins with his head on, till after his coronation some time next year. No chance of a 2022 coin eith Charlie boys face on it.
The beast completer looks amazing I would settle for a 2 oz silver variant
Good luck finding one. Theyve become incredibly collectable(and expensive) simce their initial release.
I can see why it's a really beautiful coin design

Dear @welshstacker, we need your help!
The Hivebuzz proposal already got important support from the community. However, it lost its funding a few days ago and only needs a few more HP to get funded again.
May we ask you to support it so our team can continue its work this year?
You can do it on Peakd, ecency,
