Bitcoin fans are psychopaths who don't care about anyone, study shows
The New York Post publishes sketchy poll and calls it a study in order to smear Bitcoin Fans. (They had to use the word FAN, because most people polled didn't actually own Bitcoin)
All right Everyone this article cracked me up on many levels and is a great example of why many hate the media. First let's dig past the headline a bit and see what they are claiming.
Wow, these Bitcoin people sound terrible! I sure hope I don't know any Bitcoin People...
But let's look at how they came to their conclusion.
They asked 566 people to submit to a personality test.
That's a tiny sample, and they don't mention how they compiled the list of people asked.
One in four of 566 is 141.5 actually owned any crypto. So the headline of this article is based on 141 people of unknown background and circumstance who were given a personality test.
Anyway, I think it is hilarious and I think we should embrace our Psychopath label and run with it.

Haha maximalists are the worst though so it's easy to agree.
They are so amazingly toxic and tribalist and hypocritical and so against the founder's intention that it's hard to look the other way. Everything about Bitcoin: the volatility, deflation, and community itself indicates clearly that it can't scale up and will eventually get flipped. When it does many will have a mental health crisis because of how they've framed the narrative.
Obviously that survey is bullshit but still there is some truth there that they are exploiting.
I was thinking the same thing as I was reading the article.
My first thought was must have interviewed a bunch of Maxis.

I was going to say "a whole 500 people?" Wow, that is pretty funny. There was a new story this past Sunday where they talked about crypto. They at least had two viewpoints on, but they didn't expand on any of the ideas, they just kept it very vague and in my opinion negative. It was a joke.

I don't trust the surveys and their surveys have been horrible for a while longer. They always skew the data and I wonder what was the real breakdown for the people investing. If they choose older people, then they are probably less likely to have crypto. I just don't know how they draw their conclusion on such a small dataset.

This really highlights why media no longer has any authority to say what's happening in the world. There is a total erosion of trust there, journalists who are still in those houses make me sad. I would rather they publish cute cat memes.
