Yes i believe this, because of the competition to get a better farmland, the price of the farmland goes up and some farmers that aren't financially buoyant misses out of getting a better farmland because the better ones are taken.
Maybe the more reason of this thread might be referring to another thing outside of farm but you are using farmland as a case study. My guess anyway,,, lolz.
