Today's coin reminds me why I used to enjoy numismatics so much as a kid. It's a window to an incredible amount of knowledge that might never cross our paths if we were never to look outside our insular little worldview. I know of so many countries (some now gone!) because of the coin, paper money, & stamp collecting I did when young.
