And the winners always are those making the weapons.

Weapon makers are literally making billions in all these wars.
They are. And they have incentive to keep the money train rolling in.
When I wrote this thought, I wasn't thinking about the financial part. However, you have a nice point here.

Sadly true.
Indeed. Even those who allegedly "win" typically end up with only a short-lived illusion of victory. Unless we classify profit from arms production as "winning."
