RE: Why Do Robots Need Money? The Daily Contest - 2 Days Long!

in LeoFinance4 years ago (edited)

Welcome to Robotland: The Land of Future.

Year 3050. Society is entirely inhabited by robots, which have destroyed humans (who have been swallowed by their own greed). But there are still similarities with ancient society, because the population of machines is divided into "Rich" and "Poor" sides.

Here, the economic system is called Robotnik. The current currency is Robotcoin and through it that robots keep to their needs. From the simplest (like to buy oil to not rust their connections, keep up to date with modern chips to "live longer" and buy parts for any possible repairs over time) to the most extravagant ones (like drinking expensive fluids at exclusive parties, eating different / weird foods, buy megalomaniac cars and other types of machines and traveling for distant planets in fancy spaceships).

Buying fully connected and programmed houses to serve them is also something that rich robots prioritize... While poor robots share tiny spaces with their families in conditions of subsistence, showing that the system within a modern one will always be unequal, no matter how modern and rich a society is.

Wealthy robots become even richer (exploiting the loopholes of a "fragile" political system in their favor) and poor robots struggle every day to continue living and perhaps to rise to a higher level in society. Money, in any age or society, may even change its name or form, but it will always be a "necessary evil".
