I got a notification today that I've published on hive every day consistently for one month. That's not news considering I've been active for the past two years. Well, it's sort of news for me. At the start of May I noticed that I'd only gotten the monthly author badge once ever.
That was odd but it was true. I do publish every day technically but my timing sometimes doesn't cut it. Some days, I publish at night time, well over midnight and it doesn't count as the day's post anymore because it's already the next day.
I had a habit of procrastinating writing and completing my post because I always thought I could do it before 12 am. But it doesn't always work out because I get occupied with other stuff or I don't feel well enough to get on with it.
When I saw I had only made monthly author once in the last two years, I made it a personal goal for the month of May to not miss a day of publishing. Instead of aiming for publishing before 12 am at least, I aimed for publishing even before evening.
I almost slipped in the last few days and published at almost midnight sometimes, I guess I got lucky. It was pleasing to get the notification from @hivebuzz that I published every single day in May and I gave myself a mental high-five.
I have now been a monthly author twice and I hope to go again this month. It has been easier being consistent since I prioritized publishing more during the day and I will keep up with that.
One thing that helped is immediately writing my thoughts as they come straight into my drafts and it makes my thought process easier when I'm eventually ready to complete and publish my post.
It really was a busy month for me and I absolutely loved seeing that red dot on the notification icon everyday. I also love that I enjoyed writing every single post and not once did I shit-post. Cheers to me, we go again this month!

Procrastinating made most of my content end up in the draft. Never completed or published. Getting a balance of blogging and life's ever busy call is something really challenges.
I stop beating myself anf only give it a try.

Finding a balance is key. I also stopped pressuring myself and it got easier not seeing blogging as a chore. But I had to challenge myself to meet up with the timing when I noticed I had only gotten the monthly badge once 😅

Congratulations! I'm hoping to get that badge one day, staying consistent for 30 days straight is a hard thing to accomplish. Even doing just 5 posts a week has been a challenging task but I'm slowly getting better at it.

It's not always easy for me too to be consistent in posting at a particular day and this is due to most times, I get busy with stuff and yes, I wouldn't hesitate to say procrastination took turns too but at the end, I tried publishing before the day ends.
I love getting the notification from hivebuzz too saying I have been a buzzybee which makes me happy.
I believe we go again this month with a consistent attitude.
You're also consistent. When I see familiar names like yours on my feed every day, I get motivated to make my own post too.

This writing thing is not for the faint heart😂.
So I started with this motivation to write everyday. But for some weeks now, I write like once or twice in a week. I don't know if I should say I have been lazy though. But in the end, I think writing everyday puts some kind of pressure on me and it makes me just want to write anything whether it makes sense or not. So I am okay with writing whenever I get the inspiration.

That's one thing with writing everyday. You start 'shit-posting' just to meet up and that makes your blog look crappy.
