At 13 I commence a small business.
It was a small poultry farm of about seven chicks.
Precisely,it was a breed known as broiler. I had saved up some money and decided to invest it so I could make money after sales.
So I bought chicks and commence. My mom who was a teacher had a bigger poultry so I had learned from her.
Fortunately for me, all seven chicks survived.
Zero death.
After some months,they were mature.
Guess what?
I didn't take any of them to the market to sell . I told neighbour's and they bought all.
Lesson learned: when you're starting in business you need to leverage on the people you already know.
Start selling to your already existing contacts. This include families, friends, and acquaintances.
Start by telling them what you're into.
Create a simple Skype, whatsapp broadcast list and feed them information about what you have for sale.
Just like the onions bulbs that is small but gets bigger outside.
Start small by making your contact list your customers then work hard to expand and increase it.
Try it!
You never can tell who needs what you're selling. They may even refer or recommend you to potential buyers.
Don't wait for those you don't know to buy. Layering and mastering as you go along,to reach a point of uniqueness.
