My recent Hive Power delegation experiences about delegating Hive Power to the WorldMapPin, to the Ecency, and to Visualshots projects.
Rewarding the delegators with Hive Power is a new and good concept by default.
But the amount powered up compared to the delegated amount matters a lot.
I delegated 100 Hive Power to the WorldMapPin project (@worldmappin) (until today), and the daily power up amount I received from them was around 0.008 Hive Power and 0.014 Hive Power.
I am delegating the same amount (100 Hive Power) to Ecency (@ecency), and the daily liquid Hive I receive from them is around 0.026 Hive.
The difference is often more than the double.
And probably I would even receive even more than 0.008 Hive Power per day as a curation reward, if I would use the same amount of Hive power (100 Hive Power) to manually curate content myself.
These are the two reasons why I undelegated the previously delegated 100 Hive Power from the WorldMapPin project.
Otherwise I really like their rewarding concept.
It is just the amount, which is not favorable, compared to other projects, and maybe even to the simple manual curation.
The delegation expires in five days (on 2024.11.16).
After that I will add this amount as a delegation to the Ecency project.
And probably I will increase the delegation amount over time.
I rather delegate for the better return on investment, and Ecency is nowadays one of my favorite Hive blockchain applications anyway.
In the meantime (on this week) I will buy and power up more Hive, and probably I will try to delegate Hive Power to other Hive accounts/projects to see how much return they give on the Hive Power delegation.
The Visualshots (@visualshots) project is paying weekly in liquid Hive for the Hive Power delegation.
So far I received around 0.294 Hive per week, which is around 0.042 Hive per day.
This return is even better than the return on the Hive Power delegation to the Ecency project.
Similarly to my Hive Power delegation to Ecency, I keep this delegation too, and probably I will increase it over time, also similarly to my Hive Power delegation to Ecency.
In long term, I will invest at least a part of the return of the investments in Hive Dollars (HBD) savings.
What about you?
Do you also delegate Hive Power?
If yes, then what Hive account/project provides the best return on the investment for you?
Do you also invest at least a part of the return of the investments in Hive Dollars (HBD) savings.
As usual, I have set @commentrewarder as a beneficiary (10%) for this post to encourage writing comments.
Please be aware that the payout of the Curation reward is always based on the payout 7 days ago, but split on today's overall delegation power. That´s why it can seem a little bit less for you atm, as delegation support keeps growing still.
I'm sorry to hear you will turn back the delegation but from a financial view totally understandable. For us in worldmappin community the community support comes first, so we put our power together in order to grow together and support each other ❤️😎 Thanks anyway for your support so far @xplosive🐝👍
Wow, that @visualshots return is nice!
I delegate to @diyhub and it's about 1000HP delegation/1.6 liquid Hive per week.
I also delegate to @edsvote but that pays out in EDS, a second layer token I hold (which also pays liquid Hive weekly).
I tried to take a look at @edsvote, but that Hive account currently does not exists.
oh sorry, it's @eds-vote
No problem. Typos can happen.
I check the account, and I will consider delegating Hive Power to them.
Thank you.
I'm adding this post to my bookmarks so I can check it later when I have enough HP to delegate.
This is only my initial experience with Hive Power delegation.
I continue building both my Hive Power, and my Hive Power delegations too.
And I will write updates about my Hive Power delegation experiences and about my Hive Power delegation changes in new posts in the future too.
Nice. I'll be looking for them when you do them.
