The owner decided to destroy the house, because it is life-threatening (2023.01.13)

One punch after another.

Today morning we had a discussion with the owner of the house, and he told us that he will bulldoze the house in the spring (around March and April), because the condition of the house is life-threatening, uninhabitable, and that he will move to work in the Netherlands, because he can earn more with his work there (he is working as a bricklayer). Our neighbor said that it is not even required to bulldoze this house, because it is already partially collapsed, and it will collapse on its own.

To the question about fixing the house, he said that it would be too expensive. Not worth it.

I cannot even argue with these statements. All of them are true. Down below the collapsed former kitchen, and the interior of the first room.

Down below you can see the total amount of brushwood we currently have. This may look a lot, but it is burning fast. Probably it will enough only for a few days.

I do not know how we will heat the house in the next next months. I also do not know where we will go in the spring.

If there will be no real help (either from the government, or from the people), then I will have to touch the credit line on my credit card. Of course that has a high (I currently do not even know how much) interest rate.

I do not want to swim in debt, but maybe I will.

By the way, my brother already has so much debt that probably he will go to jail/prison. Maybe I will go there too. At least the prison cell will be warm.

Of course that this is the worst case scenario, and I will have to sell my Harris's hawk in that case. Hopefully there will be a good solution to avoid swimming in debt, and selling my Harris's hawk.

I am currently emotionally down on the ground, but I try to remain optimistic.

Have a nice day and have a nice weekend.
All the best. Greetings and much love from Hungary.

I didn’t realize you were in such a rough situation. Can you leave the country? If possible maybe you can get a tent and head somewhere warm to wait out the winter. Greece? I’m sure there are communities of people who get by on very little there with all that happened to their economy. I had a friend who was backpacking without spending any money in southern Europe (also Hungary) and Egypt. I can ask her for cheap or free places if you want. Just an idea, sorry if it’s a stupid one

Not with my Harris's hawk. It is a CITES listed bird, and it would need export and import permits, animal health (vet) certification. It would be very difficult and very time consuming to obtain these papers. I could leave the country only if I would temporarily give (or sell) the bird to one of my falconer friends.

I keep trying to find a local rent for now. Other people (for example the postwoman) are also helping in this. Hopefully soon we will find something.

Thank you for the idea. And thank you so much again for the $10 HBD tip.

We (my brother and me) are very grateful and very happy.

Sorry to hear about that. I hope you can find a solution...

I hope too. I am constantly trying to find something. Some of my friends (including the postwoman) are also trying to find something for us (for my brother and for me).

!LUV.

That totally sucks. But if the owner is moving, can't you rent his house instead? He could even pay you to take care of it, since an empty house will break down faster than a house someone lives in.

The other house is used by his wife and by their children. They have dogs, parrots, a rabbit and a rat too. There is no free place in that house, otherwise we (my brother and me) would already be there. That house is in good/proper condition.

That looks really bad. Aren't there some charity organizations or maybe a church than could help you? Or do you have a bank or PayPal account to receive donations?

I currently do not know about any charity organizations, nor churches, which would help. I asked a few of the locals, and they also do not know.

I have a PayPal account since 2014. My PayPal username is hunxplosive.

I accept PayPal donations. Currently only a very few people know about my PayPal account, but this time I decided to publicly mention it in this comment, so now anyone, who read this post/comment can see it, and help, if they would like.

Thank you so much to anyone/everyone for any help/support.

Yrue, Life-threatening and what the owner did is right.to avoid.accident.

He have not done it so far. He will do it in the spring. We (my brother and me) are still in this house.

Today I took these photos about the damaged wall. We can see the fence in the garden through the holes in the wall.

So sorry bro.

Thank you for the sympathy. We constantly try to find a solution.
