Very interesting post. I've joined Hive 7 days ago because I often see french posts about decentralized application where authors talk about Hive's content so I decided to join it.
I don't still have fully understand all rules of Hive's assets or how/why power up but I'm learning about this ;) And your content is another motivation way to keep this way :)

Welcome! There's a bit of a learning curve but the best thing you can do is comment and make friends on the discord chats and post stuff that's fun for you cause rewards correlate with engagement and relationships as much as quality.
Powering up makes your vote worth more and shows people you are committed to the ecosystem. Not necessary but it allows your Hive to actually work rather than be just a plain currency.
