After 3 years of innovative hardwork, including one year of public beta testing, the Particl Project is set to release the v3.0 of their Open Marketplace. This will be the 1st version open to a wider public. It will allow anyone to easily create a personal storefront or a community market or simply buy/sell goods and services on already existing markets. The user-created markets/storefronts can be either publicly visible or absolutely invisible to anyone without an access key. The Open Marketplace is designed to be private by default, crypto-agnostic and decentralized with no intermediaries whatsoever. Due to the latter, the trades are protected by two-way escrows via smart-contracts that deincentivize and penalize dishonest behaiviors on both sides. The Open Marketplace has no sales commission and charges only a tiny listing fee to prevent listing spam. All the marketplace generated listing/promotion fees go to the Particl network stakers.
Currently Particl's Open Marketplace supports payments in BTC, PART, ZCoin (DAI is next in the pipeline plus many more to come). It uses as a settlement layer its native blockchain, which is an up-to-date #Bitcoin codebase with cold-staking enabled PoS and added privacy features like CT, RingCT (up to 32 mixins), Bulletproofs, Stealth addresses, etc. The privacy features (CT+RingCT+Stealth addresses) are used in combination to keep the financial data (escrows, transactions, etc) on the blockchain private and unlinkable to the actual market buys/sells. For the actual markets/users related data exchange like posted listings, buy/sell flow, automated cryptocurrency exchange, encrypted users communication, etc the Open Marketplaces uses a custom Bitmessage variant called SMSG, which allows metadata stripped encrypted data exchange. Last but not least the Open Marketplace has an easy to use support for using Tor network via proxy to prevent any IP deanonymization.
