Not a scam. I am guessing someone got into my Ledger Live app on a phone I destroyed enough that the lady at best buy couldn't access the info on it with her connection to a computer. So, I didn't have a way to wipe it before I sent it back as I was sent a new replacement. Didn't give it too much thought. I realize now, I should have gone to further to clear it before I sent it back. But, I thought I needed to approve transactions on the app with the physical device but I guess not. Such a dumb dumb situation.
