Can I take you back for a minute?

Remember how 3 months ago the Russia/Ukraine war began and that's all we could talk about? We got swarmed every minute with news from different media stations spreading fear and propaganda. They were having a field day with our attention span like they always do.

Have you realised how a lot of media outlets have just grown quiet on this matter and unless you properly dig or probe a little further, you don't really know what's going on? I never even realised it until a few days ago when a friend began to fill my ears with this information.

I got to see a bunch of information about how the Russian economy is thriving regardless of the many sanctions against them. While thinking about this post, I tried to do some research of my own on that information gathered but the internet seems to be rid of information about how the US is suffering from much higher inflation rates than Russia.

The best I could find to somewhat explain my point is This article by The Guardian about how Russia is currently winning the economic war regardless of how hard other first world countries seem to be fighting against that.

Russia still seems to be earning more from Oil and Gas exports than it used to and news flash, the first 4 months of this year were more like an Oil boom for Russia. The war efforts seem to be doing more good for them than we'd thought.

Also, just 2 days ago the second-largest grain terminal in Ukraine was blown up by the Russian forces, further increasing their suffering and poking a finger at the rest of the world. Why isn't this trending?

The best reason we can give for all this not trending as much as it should is that everyone's trying to save their house at this point. There's a global inflation brewing for a lot of countries and a lot needs to be taken care of in-house before anyone can fight a war for another country.

That being said, lives are still being lost on both sides. One side more than the other, but still, a lot of blood put together and from the look of things, there's too much to gain from this for Russia to back down just yet.

Yeah, it's because many nations including the US is funding the war and paying through the nose for gas.

Ukraine is sitll losing and they have an erotic dancer/actor for a President.

So, yeah we are paying for yet another losing war, plus ruining the food chain and creating shortages and driving up costs, for no good reason.

The news about the war has been mostly lies and now that the lies are almost impossible to hide the media is going silent and hoping that everyone forgets about it.

Wars tend to be popular/cool in the beginning (first 30 days or a year). With the nature of modern media and people's short attention spans, maintaining enthusiasm and interest, especially when wars tend to be longer, more complicated and more frustrating than the plot of Marvel movie, becomes increasingly difficult.
