New to splinterlands? And get disappointed by the recent update?
your not alone🙃 a lot of crying babies out there on discord and telegram bashing the developers for the recent update.
i wont rewrite what was said on the announcement as it was written very clearly but if you wish to see and read it. You can read it full on this Link
Below are the things that could happen when this update had been implimented after this season.
1.)This action will discourage whales who has over hundred or thousand of bots milking bronze league, taking away from the dec pool and devaluing rewards cards so fast.
2.) Reward cards AND DEC will become more valuable.
3.) we will lose the "ROI" players and get more committed players. "ROI" Players are those who invested 10$ and thinks that splinterlands will make them rich instantly!
4.) We still dont know how much credit per chest we will get. If they are somewhat equal to dec rewards, we can expect high transaction of cards on the market since credits are not transferrable. No choice but to buy resources from it.
5.) Dec drop per match maybe much higher since the drop rate will depend on your ratings. Big reason for the increase of dec drop per match is that most of the bots are in bronze league.
What could be the reason for this update?
Obviosly that bot users are part of reason. But another thing that i can see is that the developers are encouraging players to build their deck, earn enough power and move to higher league. Maybe a lot of players are disappointed but this update is really good for the game economy. It helps to balance the game. Forcing the players on building assets which is good for them in the long run and finally eliminating farming bots which is slowly killing the game!

You make several excellent points. Nobody is being punished (except maybe bot owners). Ultimately this change is good for everyone.
thankyou! And yes, this update is good for everyone! They might not see it now, but as the game economy goes up and steady. Then they will understand.
