Dear Hive/Leofinance community,
I am writing to you with a heavy heart and in a state of desperation. My Hive account has been compromised by an unknown user, who goes by the name of @one-manul. This person has initiated the withdrawal of my HBD savings worth $53 and withdrew all high valued second layer tokens in my Hive Engine wallet (LGN, BRO and others) which has left me feeling helpless and vulnerable.
I am reaching out to the Hive community for help and support in this difficult time. If anyone has any information or advice on how to recover my funds, I would greatly appreciate it. I am a small-time content creator on the platform, and this loss of funds is a huge blow to me.
Here are some steps that I have taken so far to try and resolve the issue:
I have generated new password/keys my Hive account to prevent any future unauthorized access to my account.
I have started reporting the incidence to different users, and I am currently awaiting their response. I have provided them with all the relevant details, including the username of the person who initiated the withdrawal.
It is unfortunate that I have to go through all this even as a struggling blogger. I just wish something can be done to recover my funds, but that not withstanding, since little or nothing can be done, I just would like to take this opportunity to urge all Hive users to be vigilant and to take all necessary precautions to secure their accounts.
I don't actually know on what precautions I've skimped on, it just seems like some top level engineering attempts.
I am deeply grateful for any help and support that the Hive community can offer me at this difficult time. I am confident that with your help, I will be able bounce back on this wonderful platform.

Yea. I managed to stop the withdrawal after discovering the option on PeakD.

I am very sorry to hear that you experienced this. Im still new, but I believe that as long as your keys have been changed, you should be safe… however I highly recommend going to the terminal discord to double check, because they help with that all the time!
Also, make sure you are using something like Hive Keychain to store your keys. You only need an active key to post, never use your master! Never save keys on a browser. Etc. Only log onto dapps with keychain or hive signer for protection!

So sad, so sorry to hear about this, but glad you were able to stop the damage before it went too far. Hackers are always roaming around look for how to break into accounts and steal. Hope your keys are off any browsers because they are not safe there.
