I don't think it matters much with threads, just make sure they are on topic. Using the name of the Community as a tag puts your threads in their thread section, so you can certainly post one thread to multiple Communities

It depends on the Community. Some don't allow crossposting, so make sure to read their rules. Though, crossposting articles too often and to many communities often can be seen as spamming. Threading is less of an issue.
Yes post to whatever community you want. THhs can be with threads or long form.
Posting to the right Community for the topic will, in theory get you more visibilty.
