Carroll Shelby, is probably one of the most famous icons in the automotive world, especially in the United States.

Many of his works have become world icons, one of which is the very famous Shelby Cobra and inspired the Ford Mustang Cobra. A rare variant of the Cobra is the Shelby Cobra Coupe, or better known as the Shelby Daytona Coupe.

This variant is a very limited variant and is made for professional racing events. Based on the same as the Shelby Cobra Roadster, in both the chassis and drive system, the Daytona was built to provide fierce competition for Ferrari in the GT class.

There were only six Shelby Daytona units made in the period 1964 – 1965, after which Carroll Shelby was tasked with developing the Ford GT40 which is also very legendary in the 24 Hours Le Mans endurance race. But there is something unique in the history of this car.
Noted that there are six cars ever made, five of which were made in Italy, while one unit with chassis number CSX2287 which was made for a collector, was made in the United States. But there are only five ownership records for this car. Meanwhile, one record car made in America was lost in the 1970s.

Historians and collectors worried about this legendary car being lost got some good news in 2001 when a missing car was found in a California shelter, after being missing for 30 years.

Allegedly the last owner was a music producer Phil Spector who liked to drive this car for speeding on the highway which resulted in him suffering from many traffic tickets.

It's not really a car designed to be raced on the streets, but it's a very powerful race car. The car that has appeared in The Monkees series in the episode titled "The Monkees Race Again" (also known as the episode "Leave the Driving to Us") which aired on February 12, 1968 is estimated to have a very fantastic selling price, reaching $ USD 4 million.

What kind of vehicle is this? I think it is a road runner. Yes it is a good one to drive once in a life if get chance ever. It is a very old model car but still can defeat present models car in look and speed. I have seen most of the time the car in the cartoon show in the TV. Hope I will see in real in my life.
