You have to do what you believe in. Personally I don't do downvoting, back in 2016 I did a post essentially saying downvoting will kill the steemit platform, and over the years I've had the odd downvote or two, but I've never dumped one on anyone else.
Even Fakebook, that sea of bullshit platform, were aware that downvoting destroys social media platforms. Downvoting is fucked up, and any account who downvotes any of my accounts, for any reason, is my enemy for the life of the blockchain.
And tokens like pay are meaningless to most content creators...i don't even know what they are or where they came from...they go up and down a lot, from 5 dollars to 50 dollars in my wallet...who cares?
