Slime Girl Smoothies has been on our radar for quite some time and it’s exciting that it’s finally all ready for consumption! The fact that it was a project that involved the teamwork of so many different collaborators we’ve seen around the NSFW Twitter community was impressive to say the least and just made it all the more fun to finally see it come to fruition.
Let’s be honest, slime girls always make for some pretty sexy content all on their own so even before playing the game it wasn’t hard to tell that we were in for a whole lot of slippery seduction. We weren’t entirely sure how it was going to all come together with the puzzle mechanics but we knew the girls would wholly deliver on the lewd portion of the game.
Lewd puzzle games are a dime a dozen. Match 3 or Jigsaw seem to be the go tos when it comes to taking a sexy idea and adding a puzzle mechanic, so it was a pleasant surprise when Slime Girl Smoothies presented a unique puzzle style we’d never seen before. It seemed intimidating at first since there appeared to be plenty of moving parts involved in solving each puzzle and we may have failed a few times before we got the hang of it, however it didn’t take us long to get into the groove.
The main goal in Slime Girl Smoothies is to make drink orders correctly using a flavor chart that determines the needed amount of each ingredient. You will then be presented with a selection of tantalizing fruits that have color combinations associated with them and are used to produce those flavors. Depending on how they are matched up will determine how much of each flavor gauge will fill up. You also unlock some tools like a vertical or horizontal slicer to help with getting particular color combos or to eliminate unnecessary ones. If you happen to fill up the board or overfill a portion of the flavor chart you fail the drink recipe overall and have to move on to the next one. Luckily the girls will take it easy on you and you can fail one drink per shift without penalty. As a reward if you manage to make all the drinks correctly during a shift you can choose to allow the girls to get naked during the dialogue sequence. You will also unlock a sex scene (still picture) with every second successful shift completed.
At its core the puzzle mechanics were enjoyable once you got the hang of them, however the problem we felt marred our experience slightly was that each puzzle tended to take a long time to complete. There was a lot of back and forth referencing required between the board, the charts, and the flavor index. The shifts where you only had to make two or three drinks felt like the perfect length, but then with the later shifts you had to make up to five drinks and it just ended up feeling a little tedious.
Everything else though we felt was top notch. The artwork was colorful and fun. The voice acting and dialogue were well done and suited each character’s personality perfectly. There is a nice variety of sexy still shots and even unlockable animated cards for each of the girls. A lot of quality work went into all the various aspects of the game and it shows.
