One Sunday, after attending church, my friend Yohana, who now lives in Spain, and I decided to go with our children, to go for a walk in a nearby park, at the entrance of that park there is a square and two museums, the Museum of Fine Arts and the Museum of Natural Sciences, we decided to visit the Museum of Natural Sciences, as there was an exhibition of Africa.

The tour was magical, watching the exhibit fascinating, as I love watching wildlife documentaries and I can only get an idea of what some animals are like, from what I see in the scenes.

I think the wildlife in Africa is spectacular and I focused on taking pictures of the animal specimens, although the exhibit also had spears, costumes and others, but I was fascinated with the wildlife.

My son in 2015 (9 years ago) was a chubby little boy and you could see in his face amazement and joy as he saw the specimens of hyenas, lions, antelopes, Thomson's gazelles, zebras, giraffes and much more.

Not everything about this visit was pleasant, for example, although the museum is large, there were many visitors and that made it a little difficult to enjoy the exhibition. On the other hand, being an animal lover, seeing so many stuffed animals or skins caused me a conflict. Maybe this collection is many years old, but it still made me wonder if they had all been hunted or something similar. For me, just thinking things like that torments me, as I do not tolerate animal abuse or poaching.

Now, as for the museum, it was founded in 1875, so it is 149 years old. Unfortunately, I do not have a photograph of its façade, but I can tell you that its design is neoclassical and it has two floors. It is a pleasant place to visit, either in the company of family, friends or alone. In the back, in its open spaces, there are some cafes and places to eat, which make connection with the Teresa Carreño Theater. There are bamboos there, ideal for sharing with friends, while having a coffee or enjoying an ice cream.

Finished, this was a visit I made to the Museum of Natural Sciences in Caracas - Venezuela, thus ends my participation in the Weekend-Engagement #214.

I have never been to a museum before so I don't know what it looks like but if I get the opportunity I will definitely grab it and by ur explanation and description I must definitely visit one

The museums are magical places, you learn and enjoy a lot there, and they always have a different atmosphere. When you see one, you will notice it.

Saludos.

¡Así es!

Linda noche..🌹

LEO Power Up Day - July 15, 2024

We get along for a reason, those mixed feelings I also had before that exhibition. I have a photo of that giraffe standing upright, but I didn't share it in the publication. Thank you very much for sharing all that valuable information from the museum, my dear friend.
