You have nice memories and that is what is important, of course we change throughout our lives, during that stage the hormones are nervous and misplaced but in the end each one takes its place and your head assumes the true self.
Nevertheless, it seems that you were a very well liked and accepted child by your classmates, either from one school or the other, but you did well and that is what lasts...
