The Big Salah weekend.

*The big Salah is the name we call the "Id el Kabir" celebration in my town, Akwanga. Id el Kabir, is a festival in Islam which signifies and commorates the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his son. This festival includes prayers, sacrifice and charitable acts. It's a time of love and togetherness. *

Looking through the calendar and noticed it falls on a Sunday. Wow and this is a weekend date. At first I forgot, but when woke up that early morning I noticed my neighbor's prepared in their beautiful and lovely attires specially for the day. Then I asked Uthman, hello little one, which day is Salah? Smiling he said today! I was like wow. I thought it will be tomorrow I said. So I ran inside!

Hurried and prepare for church, I am a Christian, so I worship in the first section of service of two which is 8am and 10 am. So I made my self ready and went to church. I grew up to loving the season of Salah. Cause my dad had plenty of his friends Muslims. And not only because of foods and rams we also enjoy the time we spent together with families in those seasons. Today my dad I late, but the memories still Intact. So I decided to make a great memory too for the Salah with my neighbor.

So after church, on my way home, noticed they're all back home. And hearing from the kitchen the sounds of pots being opened and plates spread. Hmmm the lovely moments has come. Ok oooo. Barka da Salah 😊 I salut as I passed. They heard me and pipped out through the window and welcome me back from church. Mum said we are on the table. I said I'm coming. So I went home.On reaching I saw Habitat with a flask from her mom to me. I said so soon heyyy.

Tell your siblings after they've all eaten should come we snap. We tend to replicate the memory from the small Salah break, where we dance, played games and snap. So the immediately did and came. Uthman, Habitat, Nebiru, Walid and Sultan.

I spent a little time with them and they went for outing with their mum to a nearby relative then to the celebration square. I am happy always having good memories. The Sunday was a great day for me. It's a father's day, a Sunday and a Salah day. It makes my weekend a very memorable one. It's was full of fun and reflection. Cheers my beautiful people.
