Welcome to my blog!

I had originally planned to share all the details about the cozy inn we stayed at during our trip to Los Roques. However, this won't be a typical review or a standard post about a place, as I realized I didn't take enough pictures to properly showcase it.

Everything is vivid in my mind—so cozy, minimalist, and immaculate—but the only photos that feature the inn are ones where I was snapping shots selfies.

I can't believe I forgot to capture more! But I won't let that stop me from telling you about Casa Tramonto, which is the name of this charming place. It offers several apartments, and ours was perfect for two people. It had a reception area, a kitchen, and a bathroom on the first floor, while upstairs was a spacious and comfortable bedroom.

One great feature of the downstairs bathroom is that the sink is outside of it, which made it convenient. In the mirror selfies I took, you can catch a glimpse of the kitchen area, showcasing how comfortable it was.

The kitchen was well-equipped, so we whipped up some delicious fried fish with plantain tostones. I'll share how we managed to catch those fish right on the beach!

We had a large refrigerator at our disposal, but the only thing we had stocked in it were six packs of beer and some water, although the latter was in short supply at the time.

The foyer area was so lovely that I couldn't resist taking several selfies on the blue furniture, which created a peaceful contrast with the predominately white decor.

In response to @galenkp question from one of the Weekend Engagement topics about our vacation preferences—whether we’d rather camp in a forest or stay in an urban hotel—I must say I enjoy both options. I want to experience different settings, but if I had to choose just one opportunity in life, I'd opt for camping in the forest this time. I've never done it before; I've only camped on the beach, and I have beautiful memories of those trips with my parents.

I want to offer my children the same experience because I believe those kinds of adventures build important foundations.

Nonetheless, I’m still filled with joy and satisfaction from our vacation in Los Roques at this apartment-style inn. It provided us with plenty of independence and freedom, along with a comfortable concierge service, fresh linens, air conditioning, and all the comforts needed to relax and unwind after a fun day at the beach.

Hope you had a nice weekend and see you next weekend.
