I enjoyed reading this, it gave me some insight as I've never been to Sudan, but I found a very similar custom in Madagascar when I went there - the people are so welcoming and generous, showing a genuine interest in others and having real conversation. Sharing food with people like this is special. Thanks for sharing.
The Sudan food is a blend of Arabic and African. It makes the most of the resources they have available and eating together is such a cultural activity that brings people together.
