Good morning my dear #Hivers. I hope you are having a wonderful weekend. I wanted to tell you a little about my last weekend, specifically Saturday. Why do I want to talk about that particular day? Because I spent a very fun Saturday doing things that I hadn't done for a long time, and what is the reason? That we live agitated and concentrated in the day to day, in the responsibilities and in the work inside and outside the home.
This Saturday I was invited by the @Orinoco team to the "Hivers Gaming Day", a full afternoon of games for the Hivers. In the end, all kinds of people ended up attending, not just the Hive community from Tigre. What do I want to highlight? That the games were enjoyed by people of all ages, not just youngsters. I, at 54 years old, well fulfilled, had not enjoyed something that many years ago I shared at home with my children and my brothers, “video games”. I remember that we were such fans of that activity, that we would organize competitions in the room, and instead of a weekend of movies, it was a weekend of video games. Gone are the traditional games such as dominoes, ludo, scrabble, etc., to give way to virtual games. But I got out of that routine a long time ago, and I didn't know how much the world of video games had evolved.
When I arrived at the event and the presenters directed us to the game stations, I was immediately struck by the space where it said: “Virtual World”. I was curious when I saw the demo because I couldn't imagine what it would look like and feel like when you put on your helmet and start the game. I thought about it for a few seconds, I said to myself: "I only see kids playing there, no adults, but I don't want to stay with the desire", and suddenly I said: "Oh no, I'm going to play", hahahahaha, and I jumped. Then I wanted to play only in the virtual world.
What a fun experience, I can't quite remember the name of the game, it had to do with the “ninja”, and it consisted of breaking all the fruits that were virtually falling on me. At first it was slow, but then I got so excited that I hit it with all my strength from all sides until almost all the fruits broke. I analyzed that there is no age to play, that the child in us will always be available to enjoy these activities, and that they immensely enrich our spirit and provide us with a lot of mental health. I know that the #Orinoco company is going to create more content like this and I am waiting to participate and enjoy a day of games again, "for all ages". I hope many #Hivers from El Tigre and its surroundings are encouraged to participate, I know they are going to have a fabulous day.
Buenos días mis queridos #Hivers. Espero que estén pasando un maravilloso fin de semana. Quería narrarles un poco acerca de mi fin de semana pasado, específicamente el día sábado. ¿Por qué quiero hablar de ese día en especial? Porque pasé un sábado muy divertido haciendo cosas que hacía mucho tiempo no realizaba, ¿Y cuál es la razón? Que vivimos agitados y concentrados en el día a día, en las responsabilidades y en las labores dentro y fuera del hogar.
Este sábado fui invitada por el equipo de @Orinoco al “Hivers Gaming Day”, una tarde completa de juegos para los Hivers. Al final terminó asistiendo todo tipo de público, no solamente la comunidad tigrense de Hive. ¿Qué les quiero resaltar? Que los juegos fueron disfrutados por personas de todas las edades, no sólo jóvenes. Yo a mis 54 años, bien cumplidos, hacía tiempo que no disfrutaba de algo que hace muchos años atrás compartía en la casa con mis hijos y mis hermanos, “los videojuegos”. Recuerdo que éramos tan fanáticos de esa actividad, que organizábamos competencias en la sala, y en vez de un fin de semana de películas, era un fin de semana de juegos de vídeo. Atrás fueron quedando poco a poco los juegos tradicionales como el dominó, el ludo, el escrable, etc., para dar paso a los juegos virtuales. Pero hace mucho que me alejé de esa rutina, y no sabía cuánto había evolucionado el mundo de los videojuegos.
Cuando llegué al evento y los presentadores nos indicaron las estaciones de juego, de inmediato me llamó la atención el espacio donde decía: “Mundo Virtual”. Sentí curiosidad al ver la demostración porque no me imaginaba qué se veía y sentía al momento de colocarse el casco y dar inicio al juego. Lo pensé por unos segundos, decía dentro de mí: “Sólo veo chamos jugando ahí, ningún adulto, pero no me quiero quedar con las ganas”, y de golpe dije: “Ay no, yo me lanzo a jugar”, jajajajaja, y me lancé. Después quería jugar únicamente en el mundo virtual.
Qué experiencia tan divertida, no recuerdo bien el nombre del juego, tenía que ver con los “ninja”, y consistía en romper todas las frutas que iban cayendo virtualmente sobre mí. Al principio iba lento, pero después me emocioné tanto que le di con todas mis fuerzas por todos lados hasta romper casi todas las frutas. Analicé que no hay edad para jugar, que el niño que llevamos dentro siempre va a estar disponible para disfrutar de estas actividades, y que nos enriquecen inmensamente el espíritu y nos proporciona mucha salud mental. Sé que la empresa #Orinoco va a crear más contenido como éste y estoy a la espera para participar y disfrutar nuevamente de un día de juegos, “para todas las edades”. Espero que muchos #Hivers de El Tigre y sus alrededores se animen a participar, sé que van a pasar un día fabuloso.

Sí mi amiga bella, estas iniciativas son bastante sanas para la vida agitada que estamos llevando. Ojalá se repitan, y no sólo aquí, sino en todos lados. ¡¡Saludos!!

This sounds like a lot of fun from your experience. I remember playing the old school board games. Ludo, snakes & ladders, backgammon. They were cool for their time especially on those wintery rainy days as kids.
These new games though, well they sound very futuristic. I'm glad you had a good time.
Hello!! Thank you very much. It was really fun, I felt like a girl again. But although I loved the virtual game, I will always love my traditional board games. A game of Family Monopoly is like no other.
You guys can play monopoly in a friendly way? My family members never could. It always ended badly lol.
