You surely visited some of the most beautiful areas of Tuscany, but if you love this region, I have a feeling you would also love this part: close to Siena there's the "Val D'Orcia", which is nothing less than wonderful, both from the naturalistic point of view and the urban one, with a lot of small well preserved medieval towns. In "Val D'Orcia" (or very close to it) you can find cities like Cortona, Montepulciano, Pienza and San Quirico D'orcia; beautiful and famous thermal baths like Bagni di San Filippo or Bagno Vignoni (both are considered among the best Tuscan thermal baths, together with Saturnia); the biggest lake of central italy, lake Trasimeno (the one you can see in of the photo above), with some typical towns, like Castiglion Fiorentino and Passignano, and two visitable small islands, with ancient ruins and their fauna... there's a lot to see, eat and drink (if you like good wines!) :)

I'll get back there someday, am keen to, and will be sure to fit these things in, as much as possible really.
Meanwhile I hope to bring you, here and there, some nice posts about Tuscany :)
