Hello everyone 🤗... Hope you're all making the most of weekend, whether it's relaxing, adventuring, or just catching up on sleep just like my lazy self 😄. I was able to pick a topic which i could write on which is "cat or dogs which do you prefer and why".
So are you more of a cat person or a dog person?
Growing up as a kid in my small town close to beach, I was a total dog lover and i never thought someday will come that i would be totally scared of dogs. We always had dogs around and most are usually puppies and while the adults are usually taken for hunts in the nearby forest and some of my memories with those puppies are of playing with them on the beach near our home and i remember exactly how they run after me to wherever i was going, they would run beside me and my siblings and also splash through the waves, and even lie down next to me when I got tired and alos try to swim with me even when they are not really good swimmers. Dogs felt like best friends back then loyal, fun, and full of energy that humans can't give.
But the fun story of dogs changed in my life and a day came when I had a scary experience and this was while i was in the woods plucking some fruits to eat and i still remember how it went and immediately i got down from a mango tree, I was chased by a big dog and this is not a stray dog that was trying to hurt me, it was just a really large one that got too excited and i was alone and even though it didn’t hurt me or tried to hurt me, i was terrified and i was able to cover a distance i never imagined i could but it eventually caught up to me only to lick my face and left.
From that exact moment, i started seeing big dogs differently because if it actually wants to attack me, there's nothing i could do about it and anytime i see a very big dog I couldn’t ignore how uncomfortable I felt around their size, even when they were calm or well behaved..... Since then if it's not a puppy or dogs that are smaller, i would never get close to it
That’s when my love started to shift away from dogs and i began noticing cats more, especially how small and elegant they are and one thing i love about them is how quiet they can be and not to mention how very neat they are and my cat is never once dirty and i guess that's why we have cat Walk because the way they move with grace all amazing to me. I realized that what I loved most about pets was companionship and not necessarily loud barking, huge paws, or being jumped on out of excitement and scare the hell out of me.
Since I started Living alone, i have adopted over 4 cats and i have never had any issues with them and they are very intelligent animals but they might not be like that of fog intelligence. Cat are just different breeds from dogs and there something about it that can't be explained.
Even after my lost interest in dogs, i still adopt some dogs and i have also model with some dogs in my organization before and these are dogs that are cat like size and during these peiod i still get the joy of having a dog around and it reminds me of my younger days.
Lately i fell in love with a dog i recently model with its a Poodle mix breed which is a maltipoo (maltese + poodle), they are just like cats with more curly coats and they are very intelligent and calm and non aggressive and for me this fog is very adorable and way easier for me to feel comfortable with, they are like the perfect middle ground for dog personality and cat size.
Another important thing I love about cats is how low in maintenance they are and they are not always demanding your attention and they could be beside you all day without you needing to pet them and they don’t mind doing their own thing, but when they do come around for cuddles, it feels so genuine and sweet and not forced.
Cats aggression is usually a little swipe or hiss and that's actually kind of cute and manageable and i would 100% take a moody cat over a jumpy big dog any day fir my own mental health and safety and also about space, cats are perfect for smaller homes or apartments and they don't require something large.
Cat's also don’t need long walks or big yards like dogs and i have once had a cat that always curl up in cozy corners, nap in the sunlight, and bring a peaceful energy to the home and also the cleanliness of cats are awesome and take care of themselves in ways don't can't.
For me based on my experience and my personality, it’s all about what brings peace and joy into your life and what doesn't scare me because that's very important for me and the only pets that could grant me that is cats and if i do want to pick dogs, it has to be a cat sized dogs.
I Will always have love for the dogs from my childhood, but I now know myself better, and I choose comfort, safety, and simplicity and peace..

Your cat is so adorable and cute but sad to say I'm a team dog. I do love cats but i love dogs more hehe
I also prefer cats, and a puppy the size of a cat is usually cute, but I'll still stick with cats every time 😉
I understand 😂... Thanks for the comments 😊
