I always try to be there for my babies always, but in the process of trying to do one thing or the other leave me no choice but to be away sometimes and it's mostly during weekends, when we should bond. I may either be attending to extended family matters or attending classes just to improve my skill.
I'm a school teacher, and my job affords me enough time for myself and my family. I love what I do and I enjoy teaching. It gives me joy and I find fulfilment doing it. Recently, I'm trying to improve on myself and my career and the only time I have to do this, is on weekends.
Being a parent comes with a lot of sacrifices and commitment. No matter what I do, my home must not suffer.
My weekdays and weekends have been really occupied these days that I didn't realize how much I've not been around and how much my kids have missed going out with me.
I've been trying to make it up to them but they wanted to go out and they won't take anything less.
My baby's birthday was last week but I couldn't take them out which was our usual practice.
I had to make out time to take them out for ice cream on Saturday, and they were very happy.
We visited Ontario one of the eatery in my community. It's a bit far from my house but that is where my son insisted we go to. Their ice cream is nice and the environment is cozy. My kids enjoyed their ice cream and we played and took some pictures before going back home. I also enjoyed myself and it seemed that I needed the outing more.
