I believe that there is no such thing as failure, but rather experiences that allow me to learn from them in order to improve and move forward in life. Some may even be signposts.
When I was much younger I was very afraid that this or that thing would go wrong, I even prevented myself from moving forward because of that fear of failure, not knowing that it is part of life and that failure is actually not trying to do things, trying to do new things and taking risks, that is failure. But fear paralysed me.
Of course the so-called failures came just the same, they are almost unavoidable, small or big, they are part of the passage through this life, because we come to learn to be better and many times we learn more from failures than from anything else.
I think my biggest failure has also been my biggest success, because from the biggest failure come great things. I can see it as a failure that I didn't finish my law degree, I can see it as the most terrible failure, because I had put a lot of time into it, but I didn't see the signs of life, nor did I follow my heart.
I thought it was what I liked, that it was for me, because I love justice, but there were signs that I didn't listen to and I suffered too much, I cried too much. Over time I learned that if something is very good for you it should not make you suffer, and in that area, being inside the race, I saw all the injustices together and I couldn't believe it. It went against the way I am.
A relative one day said to me: You are too good to be a lawyer... and I said to myself... what is he saying to me?
Yes, I considered it my biggest failure for a long time, because I felt I had failed, when in fact I had grown up and made a hard resolution, to leave all that and build a better future, one at least that I loved.
So my biggest failure was my biggest success, to change my mentality, my life, to leave things behind, to detach and build again. I started with computer courses, to study design and to go back to painting. And I was happy. I remember this with a lot of nostalgia.
And today I look back and I know that that hard decision I made to say I'm not going to do this anymore, I don't insist anymore, determined my life today. I wouldn't have been a computer teacher, I wouldn't have done the papers to obtain Spanish nationality, I wouldn't have moved to another country.
One decision can change your life and that supposed failure was the greatest success. You don't know how the road goes until you have walked it. If you let your heart guide you, things are easier, I assure you.
That is why failures are opportunities to improve, to learn, the word is misused, it should not exist, they are not failures, they are experiences and like all experiences they serve to help us grow and improve.
Of course there have been other ‘failures’ in my life, on a personal, sentimental, family level, of all kinds, and I learned something from all of them. But I learned that with time. It should be taught from childhood, but that's life. So if you don't know why or for what reason a failure happens to you, don't worry, time will tell you, without a doubt. It will help you to be stronger and move further.

Sometimes we study careers because we like the theory, but when we go into the workforce, and even more so in a country with flaws, the clash with reality is strong. It's good that it opened that window of opportunity for you.
It's true, thank goodness I realised that, otherwise I would have been unhappy all my life. Thank you for this comment, you are right!
Exactly, the word is misused, people tend to get too depressed, feel defeated, but those moods should lead you to the other, wanting to continue fighting or trying in one way or another.
Look at yourself, you were not a lawyer but you prepared to realize yourself in another way that undoubtedly made you, and makes you happy....
I don't know if your relative was right, in fact I don't think she was right....being a good person does not limit your capabilities in any way...you would have been an excellent lawyer as well.
Excellent reflection as always my friend...
Is everything ok at home, your mom?
🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
The inner world of lawyers... is different from the theory and would not have been my place, I am now sure. I would not have been comfortable.
My mother is doing exercises hahaha but it's going well, she's taking it easy and worrying hahaha she wants to heal fast but she's doing things right, thank you!
Then, there has been no failure, you are in the place predestined for you ...., especially if it has made you happy.
Your mother seems to be quite a warrior, so, like father, like son, as we say around here....
Hugs princess.
hahahahaha that's the same saying we say in Argentina!!!! Everything will be fine jajajaja
I am where I have to be because my soul decided so. Thank you and big hug!
Love you avesilla de mi vida.
Whenever you decide I'll be here queen! Always follow the intuition that comes from the heart.
Hi @avdesing, I agree very much with the idea of the text, of the opportunities that “failures” give us. Remaking yourself in adversity, as you have done, is a great achievement, something you are proud of.
In my case, I crossed the word failure out of my dictionary long ago. It is so closely linked to the word “triumph” that it gives me the impression that they want to turn life into a competition. This was also said to me at the time by an inner voice.
I hope everything is going better at home.
Best regards.
This is how it is and life should not be a competition but should be lived intensely, each one in the mission he or she has. Thank you very much!
As always, thanks to you. Have a great afternoon.
Thank you! You too!😃
😊👋
The road has to be travelled to see that everything has a meaning in the end, that each situation, process, or supposed failure fitted in its moment for us to see what we needed more of... yes... it is important to know that! Because then we can walk through life calmer, more confident in ourselves and in the greater plan that is built for us. 🤗 Thank you for sharing your own experience.
Many times someone may need a word you say about an experience, you never know, that's why I like to share these things. Thanks to you Nani!
