Hello hello weekend, I miss you already ;;-;;
This weekend was sooo nice for me though. I got to go to the Book festival again. And this time, I went not just with my sister's but also with 2 of my cousins that we're super close with. So on this event, we all agreed to meet up at the train station and we'd just commute together.
This was at the station we got off at. I t was supposed to be a tribute to woman's month but wit the way it was arranged, it looked more like a wedding arrangement so my sister and cousin made a little pretend wedding of their own XD
When we got to the mall, we mostly looked around first, got food and checked some stores before we went to the main event. I found these dolls cute though. They wore our national costumes and they're sold in pairs. I sent this one to my boyfriend just because of how cute they were and I'm also kind of hinting for a date where we can dress up XD
Then after food and windows shopping, we went to this photo booth that's been trending with the kids. Like the self photo booth with the cute frames. And since I care about the children's privacy, you guys get m selfies for this round XD
Luckily, the photo booth wasn't so far from the event hall so it wasn't much of a walk. Here's us after registration XD
The event proper
Then there were so many booths and books. Much more on reference books this time and self help books than the fantasy and historical books that dominated last year. I think with the event hall being much much smaller this time, they had to limit the booth slots and who can feature this time. It was a little disappointing because I was really looking forward to the trinket area so I could get an idea on my business venture. Unfortunatly, there wasn't much of that this year. But there were a lot more comics too.
We didn't get to see that many events from their line up but we were definitely fortunate enough to witness the drum session they had while it was still being set up and while it was starting. they invited the crowd to ply by just following the lead drummer's beats. It was soooo cool and at some point, native dancers came out. It felt like a ritual of sorts and I am sad I couldn't take a photo or a video of that.
But the highlight of this event was that I found the comic I've been looking for. It's just a one-shot but the storytelling, the though, the illustrion, it just felt like pure artistry and I have been waiting for a while now to get a copy of thi. And it's rare me to be fixated on something, but with the way each illustration was drawn, it was well worth the buy.
After that, we went home and I literally just knocked out because I apparently do not have the energy to watch over 4 teens with all their hyperness. And although I look baby faced to be mistaken for someone in my early 20s, I lack that youthful energy to look after them. Is this what mother's feel like? XD
Anyways, that's all from me tonight. I had hoped that the next time I would write on a Monday would be to update you guys on my business, but so far, I haven't made much progress yet since I've mostly been waiting and working on making package boxes
I really love the illustration too. It is a cool style of presentation of a story in a book.
Thank you for sharing this activity outdoor with the readers of Hive.
I hope to read about the progress you have done on your business. Stay motivated and have fun doing what you love.
Peace
well the book in itself was poetic too when i read it yesterday. a very short read but what you need to admire here is how well written and illustrated it was.
And with my business venture 🤣🤣 perhaps next week. I'm still getting stuff bit by bit 🤣🤣

1 with 4 teens, you need steroids to keep up🤣
Nice fairy tough
i needed more than just steroids for that babysitting trip
BAHAHAHAHAHAAHAH
Thank you 🥰
You're welcome. I like book festivals, too. 📖📚 😎
Ohoyyy, that's a fun activity outside. And it really looks like a festival in there with all the pretty books left and right. But walking around there can be really exhausting haha. Anyways, the comic you bought really has the nice art style. Sa style ako naka focus not sa caption tho. Hhaha
di namin naabutan yung national costume pageant ng gabi kasi pagod na mga alaga ko 🤣🤣🤣 pero masaya nga, dami din makikita and mabibiling books and anik anik there so very worth it.
And yesss the art style talaga habol ko kaya ko binili yung libro 🥹🥹 ang ganda nya
I absolutely love book festivals!!
It's always fun to explore different booths, especially when there are unique finds like those dolls and comics. The drum session must have been incredible to witness in person—it’s great when events have interactive performances like that.
festivals are always fun no matter which it is, but it's just so nice to see such passionate people getting together to celebrate the event! hope you could find a festival you can celebrate ^^
