RE: Weekend Well-Spent: Saving Lives One Bag of Blood at a Time

What a wonderful thing to do. Congratulations on being a hero. It’s people like you that make it possible for others to have the gift blood when they need it the most. That’s a crazy story about you passing out and the Red Cross coming to your aid after you had left. That was awesome! I myself have a rough time giving blood. I get really sick and pass out. I guess my body doesn’t replenish as fast as others. Very interesting post. Thank you for sharing the whole process with everyone. Maybe someone will be inspired to donate. 😁

Hi @bdmillergallery! I thought I'm the only one who passed out after donating blood. I was really embarrassed that time. Imagine it's a Salon and I sort of interrupted their business. I was lying on their tiled floor until Red Cross came to the rescue. I kept telling the Red Cross team that I'm already fine and I can handle it from there. But nah, they didn't leave until my face showed signs of recovery. I was pale and cold as ice! Terrible experience! 😂 But yes, nothing can stop us from donating more and more blood! Cheers! 😍

Most people after that experience would not do it again. I have to commend you for going again. Kudos to you! You’re a brave soul. I can only imagine how embarrassed you were, but most people were most likely more worried about you than laughing at you. I’m glad in the end that you were OK and recovered. Whatever I give blood for a blood test, I have to lay down and stay down for a while until I recover. I ended up on the floor as well, but just not in front of a bunch of people at a salon. Like they say, no good deed goes on punished. Sorry that happened to you.

There are more reasons to be kind and save the lives of strangers than be afraid! Let's spread that vibe wherever we go @bdmillergallery! Great day to you! ❤️
