Do you believe that you receive something indirectly simply through taking the time to inspire and support others? I often find I get a lot personally from doing it, not least of which is a nice feeling.

Personally, I do not recall ever receiving anything tangible. It's probably more intangible in my case since most of my interactions of inspiring I feel are not super direct. Also I don't really think about getting anything by trying to inspire or support others. It feels good to know that I have made a positive impact towards someone or helped someone out and that's good enough for me. I'm also totally ok if it's not recognized either. It's no biggie what's important is I know that I did something to help somebody and I don't think there's shame in that.
I've also done volunteering for charity and who knows there could be outsiders noticing wow there's this young man volunteering and that might get them to also try volunteering? I'm not sure if I made sense on the thing about how I inspire people without knowing it.
To answer your question though, I do kind of believe in karma so I guess I do believe I receive something indirectly? I do believe what goes around comes around so when I do good things, good things tend to happen back in ways that I may not realize. Like I've heard stories where there was someone kind to some beggar on the street that beggar became rich one day and found the man to return the favor. I know these cases are probably on the extreme end but it's just an example.
Most people who apply generosity in their lives receive something valuable in return.
