Hurry up and wait is what the last several days have felt like and there's more to come.
I've always been quite patient but sometimes some things are so important it's difficult to exercise much patience which seems always to make me feel annoyed. I tend to get annoyed at myself when I get annoyed about needing to be patient because getting annoyed about having to wait doesn't help the situation forward. That's a lot of annoyance. 🙃
It's been a long couple of weeks while my guy and I wait for information and it has us both on edge.
We try to keep things on an even keel though and this weekend we decided that's exactly what we needed to do which is why date night happened last night and date night is happening again tonight. I love getting prepared for date night, picking my outfit, doing my hair and applying a little makeup to ensure that man of mine doesn't take his eyes off me; cleavage does that job well.
Last night we went to a cute Spanish place we love, ate some food and drank a little sangria, I don't drink much at all but it felt right so I had a glass. It was a nice night in which we shifted our impatience aside and replaced it with good food, hand-holding, lingering looks and nice conversation about our future plans. We also spoke about my man's work which has been a hot topic for several weeks now; I won't share why and he doesn't tell me much to be honest, but we chat about the basics and try to find answers collectively.
We're seeing a movie tonight, I don't know what as I've let him pick it, and afterwards will grab a drink at a little place we know that has a live duo playing, nothing too loud or obnoxious, just nice music and singing, atmosphere and a chance to make my guy want to look at me some more. He has a look he gives me, it makes me tingle, so I'll make sure he has to use it.
Later in the weekend we'll be relaxing a little bit before he has to start getting organised for work again; I'll do some gardening while he reads or writes and he's promised to make dinner which makes me happy, I don't like cooking much.
As for our impatience; hopefully we're able to hold it at bay, the weekend's activities will help there, and eventually the news we're waiting on will come which may be a problem, but we'll cross that bridge when it arrives.

I sincerely hope that everything turns out as you expect. Life will be as you decide to build it. I also suffer from the disease of impatience, but I think I'm finally beginning to understand myself, to tame my impulsive instincts and be more gentle with some things, especially when it comes to dealing calmly with other people...in this fast-paced world, I must slow down...
I loved the first and last of your musical selections; maybe I already knew them and I've always liked those two videos...especially the last one.

I think life won't always turn out as we like it however if we work towards moving it that way, doing the things that help create the life we want, then it's probable that life will start to resemble it.
I'm glad you like the music I chose. We don't all have the same tastes in music or anything really but sometimes we can agree yes?
