I would certainly not describe myself as especially lucky.
I have had luck, good fortune and many positive things occur unexpectedly, most of us probably have, however I don't think I'm lucky. When great things happen that I didn't expect I'm always thankful; I've had enough bad things happen to know the importance of celebrating the good ones, so I take some time to be grateful, to think of the moment and to commit it to memory which, later when things may not be as great, helps me balance things out.
I got lucky this weekend though. Maybe I should call it fortunate...or maybe it's simply that my destiny played its hand. No matter what it was and how it happened it was a lovely weekend created by and spent with my amazing guy and he got it right in every single way.
I don't want to go into details here, it's too private and it would feel like I'm diminishing the experiences by sharing them with anyone buy my guy, however it's been a long time since we've had one of these weekends that seemed to go from one amazing moment to the next with seamless ease and in which we were just the two of us to the exclusion of all others. It was so beautiful.
I know well enough that life can be a swinging pendulum between good and bad and that it's important to understand that both ends of the scale can and will happen. Being at peace with that helps me get more out of my life and when those bad things come I just remember that they help to make the good ones feel even better.
Weekends like I've just had don't come along all the time, we can find little moments here and there and enjoy them, but sustained moments like I've just experienced simply don't present themselves all the time and so I think they're worth celebrating and remembering for when things might be a little less good. If luck is involved I'm ok with it, but this weekend was created through effort, plans my guy put into place for us, and it was one worth remembering.
If you could just work out how to clone him!:)
He's one of the good ones, a real man in the true sense of the word and I'm lucky to have him...as he is me i think. We're a good team and I love that about my life; the us aspect. Cloning him though, that would mean double trouble...and he infuriates me sometimes as it is! 🙃

Regardless of whether we were lucky or not, the important thing is the experience we had and that it was super cool. It's true that these moments don't happen all the time and I hope that they will happen again and again in the future! I'm glad to read you so happy! A big hug Becca.💗
Experiences are something most valuable to gather, even the bad ones because they help teach us and to make the good ones feel so much better. Life is unpredictable, but we can always choose how we want to see it.

It is our perspective and our attitude that count.💗
I am overdue for a weekend like that. Altho last one was pretty ok. Nothing special.
We all need special weekends and I hope you and your lovely partner manage to find one of those however; if you're anything like us, and I think you are, just being together is special enough.
