"Living our best life" got stuck in my head and I have given it some thought. As usual in the porch of the house since there's not a trouble with the heat wave and there are green things to look at.It's that time of the week when I drop the tools and games and other responsibilities to ponder on the deep topics for the #weekend-engagement initiative. The idea about
We're at the middle of some crossroads in the mentalities of the century. It seems everything sways around doing what is fulfilling and/or being extremely productive. Shame has in some way turn around from physical appearance to the daily habits of people.
Shame about your body and looks still exists, but is easily cancelled online.
Pondering about what it means for me to live my life at its fullest is not a hard exercise, I've always wanted more or less the same thing, to live without life being a burden. Debt, aging, the future, are some of the things that keep some of us from trying to go ahead and break the cycle of society and go about doing the things that we want. It is understandable. I dropped from the workforce some years ago and it hasn't been good years. There's barely enough money to keep my projects going. Support is even worse. The window of opportunity in my hometown is a needle's eye.
However, I wouldn't let these facts stop me. I'm not suffering and there's plenty of time to keep growing in other aspects. There's time to learn more things.
So, beyond the issues and opportunities, I'd like to have the time to devote myself to everything I love. That means my craft, books, writing, music and some contemplation time to spend with nature. That also includes having coffee for every day. A life without coffee would be an empty endeavor.
I know some people don't like coffee, and that's ok. It means there's more for me.
A key factor would be to have the right amount of money. Having too much begets envy; even more, greed. I don't want to spend my life trying to get as rich as I can without using the money for the actual reason it exists: to be spent. However, I believe it is sensible and responsible to try to reach a stable financial situation. A way in which there's more than enough to cover the basic needs and some extra inflow for leisure and savings. Basically, I don't dream about being a millionaire, but I do want a healthy relationship with money.
There's a very important thing that comes to mind. Its the idea of not living under a regime of any kind. It sounds like anarchy, but I've been on the hands of socialism for so long that it feels like breaking free from it would be like taking a deep breath just before drowning. I'd love to live in a place where there are opportunities without the constant endeavor of the Government to screw up everything you do. Basically, I'm tired of living in a bad sci-fi novel. And that's saying a lot, since I love reading that genre.
I'd like to take some time to remind you to keep your political comments to yourself as well as your solutions for the problems of this kind. We know them too. If you want to understand why this all happens in LATAM, then give up your things and come to live here as a Latin. Then, you'll get it.
Of course, the best life possible would include several travels around the world. Especially if they are related to food tours of really good spots and locations to quench any of those exotic-foods cravings. It is also the best way to learn about other countries. I've read a lot about other cultures and watches vlogs about it. But nothing can replace the value of going to those places and experiencing everything firsthand.
And about the house situation, I'd love to live in a house with two workshops, one for woodworking; the other, a forge. Spend the days working on different projects for the right payment and thing that are needed around the house. And of course, it would need to have a nice yard to sit and drink coffee.
The best life possible would be dedicating myself to be myself at its fullest without harming anyone and helping other from time to time. It's not the fanciest life in the world, but it would be full of peace. And that's something I have not known for quite some time now.

Truly,we really deserve life's comfort and in the right proportion.
That's the idea
Relax, have your coffee, I drink mate!
I totally agree about not living in any regime, none, full freedom! I loved that.
A life of peace is the greatest thing of all, just the first thing I thought of when I read this topic was peace!
Thank you Andres!
I mean you could dream of other things and it will be ok. Having the time and peace to enjoy life would be the best way to go. At least, for me.
You couldn't have said it better, it would be great .... also for me, you two workshops and me too but of painting hahaha.
Ha, ha, ha. Nice, one to make paint and other supplies; another, for to paint.
One would use it to give painting classes, like before hahaha.
That would be even better.
