RE: Weekend-engagement topic week 29: Talkin' toys

Well, I think I got every kind of toy I wanted as a child because I had a lot of building blocks and similar toys, so there's nothing in that regard I missed. However, there's something I have always wanted. I don't know if it qualifies as toy, but sleeping is fun or using a surface to do other stuff, like reading and listening to music and getting kinky, and it is this:

If you know pokemon, you know Snorlax. And if you are more than 20 you would love to be Snorlax as this pokemon basically exists to eat and sleep. I don't know about you, but that sounds like a dream in a nutshell. I started to see this kind of huge bean bag a long time ago and always wanted one. I remember seeing one in a store in Caracas, but we were passing by so I couldn't even ask for price. So this is the toy I want.

About giving, I like to give away one of the toys I make now. I consider musical instruments one of the best kind of toys there is. I remember the feeling of getting into a store. It is like Christmas, but better! So, my idea is doing a giveaway of a cuatro once I get things settled. You know, having a workshop and all the toys to work and make them in a regular basis. So, who would be the winner? I don't know. Let's say it will be decided when I get to make and sell 30 cuatros.

I was too old to get into Pokemon's and don't understand it all any better these days; I guess the byproduct from not having any kids. However * know what been bags are* and this one looks pretty comfortable! Certainly a good place for reading, listening to music and, of course, getting kinky on. 😀

It's a cool idea of yours to give away a cuatro at some stage...Of course, you'd probably have to give some lessons on how to play it too...But it would be a good gift indeed...A hand made cuatro!

Well, don't worry I don't get pokemon nowadays either. It stopped to make sense after Gen5 for me. But this was always a nice thing to see.

Yup, just need to get on with the crafting. I think I won't need to be teaching anything. There are already so many great musicians teaching how how to play this instrument and more access to information to people around the world. 😄

I know of adults who play Pokemon...They started that Pokemon geocaching thing a while back...Never made sense to me why adults would get involved...But they did. Seemed a bit mindless to me. It takes all kinds of people to make up the world though, even adults who go about catching pretend cartoon characters on their phone.

Well, the whole idea of Pokemon is basically Cock Fighting made into a RPG with Rock, Paper, Scissor elements. It has a lot of breeding complexity and international tournaments. But I get your point. It needs to have and appeal in order to be interesting. I liked what I know about it from my childhood. And well, I like the merchandise too.

To each their own I suppose. I don't hate it, I'm just not interested in it although I know many are.

Yup. As they say "be and let be".

Thank you for your engagement on this post, you have recieved ENGAGE tokens.

I guess I want this even now! Looks quite comfortable! :)

Ha, ha, ha. It is impossible not to see it and let the thought slip your mind!

A love Pokeman. My kids would play with the Pokeman Cards and figures. I still haven't completely figured out how you are to play because my kids made up their own rules so I was always in a state of confusion.

What a nice thought to give away a toy that is a musical instrument. It may create an interest in music for that child. One never knows.

The Pokemon TCG is a complex realm and getting into figure games is another realm of existence. All this delimited by rule making, I can see how it becomes difficult to play around those kind of scenarios. But I bet it must be fun to watch.

Well, the idea is to give away a musical instrument. I consider them "toys" as the action of making them sound is playing with them. But it would be a nice gift for someone with a kid who's interested in music.

I don't know from shinola about pokemon but I do know comfort and ease so I get the bean bag completely!

Wasn't Pokemon the game that started in Hawaii that spread to California. You got the game pieces from milk/juice bottles?

I'd love to see you get to your goal really soon...

I don't know shinola about the other game you're mentioning, but it sounds interesting. Pokemon was invented by Nintendo, so it is Japanese. But maybe it had some collectible thing going on like what you just said.

Bean bags are amazing. I feel bad not having one in any shape at home. But maybe if I ever get my own place, I will have one.

And well, I hope that, too. Right now it looks like a steep hill, but I know that doing some zig-zag and keeping my steps firm I can get to the place I need.

Hello that nice toy, very versatile would let you sleep on it, eat, read, study and do perverted things as you say. 😜😄😈

If you dream it with strength and emotion you will surely have your poquemon.

What a nice way to make a living, hopefully you can give that gift. A Venezuelan friend hug from another Venezuelan. @bertrayo

Ha, ha, ha. Well, it is a matter of money. I can't will something into existence like that, but I get the idea.

I hope it can be done. Hug received and bigger one sent. Charged with Venezuelan joy! Greetings, @soyunasantacruz

That's a good one. The closest I got to this was an air mattress and a puff. Both pretty bad products. The air matress was a matress up to about midnight. After that you felt youwere sleeping on the floor. The puff did not last long either. The tiny balls that made the filling started to pop out of it after a few weeks (it was a mess).

Those things suck. I have slept in air mattresses enough to know they all tend to puff after some time. It isn't good. I have a puff in my room and I used it to pile stuff. Sitting on the thing is just wanting to reach the floor.

The air matress was a matress up to about midnight.

Yeah. And always on the FIRST night of camping, not the last :)
