Greetings Hivers! Last year, we had a painful 4th wedding anniversary. My husband chose to spend the day with others, leaving me to drive alone in tears. This year was our 5th anniversary, and we kept the celebration simple for the first time.

Our marriage has been far from happy and smooth, filled with frequent fights and multiple temporary separations. Despite our repeated attempts to reconcile and mend our relationship, we struggle.
The thought of my daughter's broken family and the experience of a failed relationship was something I never wanted for my son. Despite the struggles, I was determined to make my marriage work.
This year, our marriage reached its 5th anniversary, which was a significant milestone worth celebrating. Despite all the fights and misunderstandings we've had throughout the years, I never expected our marriage to last this long.
So last January 18 we decided to buy a small cake for our wedding anniversary celebration.

It was my day off on Saturday, so I asked my daughter to buy a cake for our simple celebration. She joined us after work, as she also covered my shifts when I was off.
Although I'm on a strict low-carb diet, I couldn't resist indulging in our wedding anniversary cake.

Our marriage, like all others, is far from perfect. Despite the misunderstandings and arguments we've faced, we consistently choose to work on our relationship. While adjusting and understanding each other takes time, our ultimate goal remains the same: a lasting marriage.
