Oh, it's beautiful! We have the Sierra Nevada here in the US, too. The border between California and Nevada. Glorious mountains and alpine lakes.
I don't have to travel very far to be able to see the Sierra Madre in Mexico...

What a privilege that you don't have to travel to enjoy those majestic mountains.
I have to go east about 100 miles or so. They are in the main body of Mexico and I'm just north of Baja. But I have a couple of pictures (I think) I'm either getting better at knowing where my photos are or luckier :)
