What is interesting about the route?ππ©
Beginning of the routeππ©
There is a map that you can download from the official website of the trail, I leave it here: "https://360.cascais.pt/pt/agenda/percursos-e-trilhos-da-natureza" however it is not very important because you have signs, the trail is circular and consists of more than 4km that you could extend up to 13km if you take other alternative trails. It's not difficult, it has a level of difficulty classified as: (easy) that is, you do not need to have much endurance or experience in hiking to complete it ! I enjoy the fact that it went through several villages, some of them quite old with many tiles!π§ππ©βπ«
When you advance approximately one kilometer, we will reach this beautiful, historic and small village called: "Pisao". Here we can visit the square and the church that you can see in the photos above, which dates back to the 17th century, currently the entire place is a rest home! There are few houses or villas that have owners and still live in "Pisao", most of the walk on this trail is done on the side of the road so we must be careful!π©π§
3-4km routeππ©
What is the best time of the year for this trail? I think it depends on each individual. Personally, I think that doing it on the spring gives that colorful and dense touch of the mountain. We can see several species of bushes and flowers that decorate the landscape as well as many insects. Summer is also interesting because you avoid the rain and the mud of the roads through the forest! But the heat can reach 40 degrees and makes the trail somewhat tiring!π§ππ©βπ«
And finally... We arrive at the beginning of the trail from here, we must add 3km more, as you can see on the sign it shows us the category of the trail! Pets are allowed if you travel with your dog, you can even have picnics or camping respecting the rules of the place! I warn you that it is a protected area so you cannot make bonfires or put nature at risk! It caught my attention that it tells you that you can climb up to 250 meters high and that you will see a landscape full of rocks that are thousands of years old!π©π»π΅π»

Viewpoint and highest pointππ©
After leaving that landscape with many rocks we enter a road that will take us in the direction "Azoia". Then we will cross to the left where the first sign of the path is and then we will climb a few meters until we reach the highest point of our adventure, we are approximately 250 meters high and as you can see we have a beautiful view of the Atlantic coast!π»π΅π»π©
Last meters of adventureππ©
Well friends, this is how I completed a walk of more than 14km, we saw many historical and interesting things about Portugal, personally I really liked the trail, it is one of those that I will repeat!π΅π»π
