Hi friends, it's a pleasure to participate in this new #weekend-engagement edition organised by @galenkp.
Throughout the afternoon today I have been thinking on several occasions what I would take from my burning house if my family and pets were already safe and I am going to tell you that on each occasion I have thought about each of them, the last one being the decision I think I would really make and I will explain why the other options I have discarded.
Folder containing house documents
In the first reflection on what I would take from the house of the burning house, first of all I thought I would risk going in for a folder where I keep the documents related to insurance of the house and several documents related to deeds of the house.
The main reason is that just thinking about all the steps I would have to take to be able to be indemnified by the insurance and prove the ownership of my own house without the documents in that folder made me feel a bit anxious.
However, thinking about it a little more, the insurance of the house, the bank receipt is accounted in the bank account and the documents of ownership of the house are in the land registry of the autonomous community. Therefore, I do not see any point in taking a risk for these documents.
Album of family and childhood photos
After discarding the aforementioned folder and already when I was driving home from the office I thought about the subject again and this time I thought I would save photographs from the family album. It is always nice from time to time to look through those albums with the family and remember loved ones who are no longer around or to see how you were as a child.
However, a couple of years ago on a course due to a problem I had in an album where some photos were ruined by spilling coffee on them, it led me to scan all the photos and I have them saved in my data cloud. Therefore, taking a risk for some photos that I already have digitized I also discarded it as an object to save from the fire.
My camera
After arriving home and spending some time sharing a conversation with my mother and after some time talking with her I thought I would take my camera with me. Since my coworkers gave it to me as a gift in November, it has been my travel companion everywhere I go during my business trips.
However, thinking about it coldly, it is a material object and like all material objects can always be replaced by buying new ones and if there is not enough money to buy them all, then one will have to adapt and live with what one can or rather with what the insurance will compensate me.
My life is a definite and reflexive choice
Finally, after seeing that I would not enter for documents, nor for photos, nor for material objects, I think that the "object" that I would save would be my own life.
Is it worth risking getting burned in a fire when you've already taken out the family and pets?
I, after thinking about it, believe that one's own life is more valuable than anything I could save at that moment from the flames.
Best regards and have a good weekend.

Very good reflection friend, the important thing is the family, your life, the material is recovered, greetings.
Of course, the material we attach so much importance to is replaceable.
!PIZZA
It's not bad risking your life for some valuable things when your house is on fire, especially those insurance document; they are very important to you and you wouldn't want to leave them while they get burnt.
Life is more valuable.
The documents are available in the administration itself.
Initially you can think about taking a risk but it is reckless as I indicated in the post.
I gifted $PIZZA slices here:

Beautiful reflection, I think just like you.
When your family is safe (including animals, which in my family are an integral part of it) there's no point in risking your life for nothing... everything we need is right there with us outside that burning house.
Exacto.
Creo que es la decisión correcta

You said it right. I mean, what if you successfully get the things that you need and go back in there but then there's no way put anymore. That's just like a suicide. So better not go back inside and be thankful that you and the family survive.
Yes. Lives are the only important thing

Hello @castri-ja. I see that besides making the best decision you have been very foresighted, life is priceless and you have to enjoy it. Very thoughtful and entertaining your publication. Best regards.
Thank you for your comment
Life is the best thing we have and I like to always have foresight in things that are necessary to have backups or copies for personal use.
