RE: Casualties

I love your writing, dear @deirdyweirdy 😇 And yes, the perils of moving towards sovereignty, hehe! I'm counting the days as to when the electrical company will cut my supply from the mains, but Italian bureaucratic inefficiency is working in my favour; I'm around a year and a half from the last time I paid a bill, and it's still running... I am looking into prepping, either way, and already have a hot water boiler to put over my stove, plus am looking into alternative washing clothes methods (https://persurvive.com/home-family/off-grid-washing-machine/) and ways to maximise the natural cooling capacity of my cellars. It's a beautiful adventure. 😍

I worked in Palermo for 6 months so I know a little about Italian bureaucracy! We're lucky enough to produce enough from solar panels that we don't need to be on the grid. You're courageous contemplating life without electricity. I just couldn't do it. Perhaps I could think of 21 reasons it'd be a good thing but I could think of 100 reasons why it wouldn't:)
All good vibes appreciated, doubled and returned.
