New experiences, new learning.

On Friday night until the early morning of Saturday I could not sleep well. The reality is that I was nervous because this Saturday I had to take on a new responsibility. I was waking up several times until already at 8 in the morning I had no other option but to get out of bed.

Luckily the coffee my mom made tasted better than usual, and she had already made me breakfast. All I had to do then was concentrate on calming my nervousness and getting ready for the new activity.

Just because you're good at something doesn't necessarily mean you're good at teaching it, that's something I'm very clear about. However, he had already helped others to get started in the world of literature. That's why I accepted to be part of a project that seeks to develop artistic and literary skills in children who are beginning to transition into adolescence.

When I arrived at the place I set out to organize everything before starting. The children arrived early and together with my friend Tania Dranguet we got down to work.

That morning we talked about universal literature and Cuban literature. I was surprised that the children had the habit of reading, which makes our work with them much easier. We also talked about journaling and how this habit can positively influence our lives, as well as that it can be a useful tool in the creative process.

That's why we all sat down to write an anecdote and shared our stories at the end of the class. I really liked seeing how everyone could feel comfortable to develop interesting texts and express their emotions through them. I was really satisfied.

At the end of this first class, we oriented some tasks for the next meeting, and I took it upon myself to ask them if they had felt well. One girl replied to me saying "It's a new experience", and I couldn't agree more. It was also a new experience for me, because I understood that even from the youngest we can take great lessons. Despite the fear I felt at first, I was able to get through it and had an amazing morning.

I have also felt nervous when facing a new job, but you are great at getting through it very well

As I see, it's a normal response, but we end up getting used to it. Thanks for your comment! Have a nice day 💙
