I have been on a roll the last couple of days with writing posts. Usually, I just don’t have the ooomph to bang out three posts, three days in a row. For some reason though there were some topics for this week's #weekend-engagement, combined with my juices, that gave me the oomph to hammer some out. By the time I post this, it will be too late for the entries for the weekend, but that is okay. I enjoyed going down memory lane.

For this post I wanted to answer the following question:

Is there anything you'd rate as eleven out of ten? What is it and why?

Niagara Falls would be an eleven out of ten to me. The absolute power of the falls is amazing. There is nothing like watching the massive amounts of water per second that go over the falls. It really makes you seem small next to the enormity while the mist showers all and leaves rainbows that are really beautiful. The roaring of the falls can be felt in your bones and the sound is memorable. The entire experience leaves an impression of how small we are on this round rock.

I have been to Niagra Falls twice while visiting my oldest son and his wife in Buffalo, New York. We never wanted to do the tours like Maid of Mist or Cave of the Winds. There was just too much stair climbing and walking to get to the start points. Just the view from the observation deck was more than sufficient to leave a major impression.

The observation deck allowed you to get right down to the edge of the falls and observe them. Watching the massive amounts of water running over the falls, hearing the roar, feeling the mist thrown from the falls is like nothing I have observed or experienced in nature. The observation deck was also better for a crowd-a-phobe like me, as it is not as shoulder to shoulder as the tours seem.

Bottom line, visiting Niagra Falls is a once in a lifetime experience for some. But I have been able to take it all in twice. It is doubtful we will be back again. My son and daughter-in-law moved to North Carolina in June.

That’s okay though, I saw those massive MFers twice and I can never forget. Yeah, an eleven for sure.

It's been a long time since I have been to the falls. I have never been there with my wife. I think she has been there with her family though. I should try and get us over there again sometime.

It was amazing wasn't it? Defintely worth seeing a second time.

I'll have to get back there one day. I think I have been two or three times, but I can't quite remember for sure!

Hmmm, interesting. I have never been to the falls, or to the east for the most part. I was in NJ for my brothers wedding in 1999 for a day, then went to NYC for two days, then home.

I'm trying to plan a trip to NJ to visit silverd510 so maybe I can make it up to the falls then. Looks amazing.

They are. It would be so worth the trip. The falls would be a decent drive from Jersey though.
