Just like you, it annoys me when the creator chooses to put a paragraph in one language and then the other one translated.
I also don’t like the block visually, I think that as a reader I lose the essence of the writing.
I personally like: one language first and the other one later.
As for the language, well, I’m from Cuba, our community is in Spanish and putting the article in English is my way to introduce our country, history and culture to people from other latitudes. (I think that Hive Fronted should work hard to improve the translation process as Chrome, Edge and others do)
Meanwhile I use the translator on a few occasions (especially when I have to translate a cubanismo ) but the biggest translation work is do it by me (that’s why sometimes I can make some mistake 😅) but that allows me to improve my English and at the same time, meet people who contribute to the improvement of my content.
I also think that within Hive the Spanish-speaking community still has to grow and mature
Peakd has a translator. I've not used it because reading translated text can be an onerous and unenjoyable task, but it's there nonetheless. In Spanish translations it changes he to she and she to he and at that stage I'm like, see ya, I'm out of here.
Yes indeed! But I'm an Ececyboy 😅 , so
Ecency what are you waiting for? 🤔
In HiveCuba , someone run a test about the Peakd translator and the conclusions were that the translator has a long way to go , but I think that is a ok , for those who need a quick translation
I will be testing the translator soon and I will share you the results 😅🤓
Let's see how it goes with the translator.
Well, I often make a lot of mistakes with my English. My English sucks. But what am I going to do? We use the translator as a reference for English speakers to read us too.
But well... I guess there are also people who just ignore us :(
I guess the best way to go is for everyone to do their own thing and move on.
