Sadly no, Siena went to the hospital to get looked at for the pleurisy. The little man and I stayed in the area and enjoyed a beautiful time! Did some awesome hiking while she was having all kinds of fun seeing junkies in the ED lol. She's good though, just pleurisy, as if that's not miserable as it is. Nothing worse that they could see so that's promising. We are just trying to do what we can to make it go away and never come back hahaha

I just looked up that pleurisy. This is my first time hearing of it. What a painful sounding thing.

Yeah man it’s a bitch lol. We’ve told some people and now everyone is like “oh ive had it, it sucks” or “oh my friend/partner/etc had it and they were miserable” lol. Ya we know that now!

I may not have looked deep enough but it's treatable it seem, yeah? More of a virus than a disease if I understand correctly.

It's sort-of treatable. Mainly just anti-inflammatory things and things to take away pain.

What it ends up being is an irritation of the lining between your ribs themselves and your actual lungs. There's a layer of protection on both sides and that's called the "pleura". Getting pneumonia irritates it and then there is some inflammation and irritation on the pleural layer itself. It's kind of like turning a super smooth surface to sandpaper for a little while. We don't appreciate that breathing, coughing or sneezing moves the lungs and the ribs flawlessly, with some nice smooth lubrication between the two. Add a little sand to that and thins become excruciatingly painful. She basically just has to sit in bed until it's over which sucks!

Helluva description. Sucks doesn't it, knowing these things and how they work? Sucks.
