Public holidays are a blessing to humanity as it 'forcefully' gives us an opportunity to stay away from the hustle and bustle of work. So many of us would work all year round if there are no Religious, International, National or Political public holidays. These holidays gives us time to stay away from work and spend quality time with our family and loved ones. However, it is highly advisable to always create a routine that gives you time - ample time to relax after work - either weekly, biweekly, monthly or bimonthly (or any preferred schedule of your choice).

So, I decided to make good use of this Easter holiday to create memories with my husband and we decided to go kayaking. Knowing fully well that kayaking has to do with spending time in water and it may not be safe for an infant due to many reasons, so we took him to my mother's place. It would be high risk to take him along to the location because it would be somewhat difficult for us to pay full attention to him while kayaking. Another obvious reason is that it may be quite impossible to get a life jacket that will fit him properly and it is a no-no to go near the water without a life jacket.

On getting to the location, it was a sight to behold, from the serene environment to the greenery - it was top-notch. It is a family friendly environment that is conducive and safe. We headed to the paying booth to make payment and we were giving instructions on what to do and what not to do. Some of the instructions included the need to be on a life jacket when around the water, be watchful and aware of our environment so that in a case of a change of weather or appearance of a wildlife there will be a swift adherence to moving to a safe place. We were also told not to stand while kayaking to avoid capsizing and also to avoid drugs or alcohol to prevent impaired coordination.

After all these were in place, I started by having fun with the bubble ball while my husband watched and cheered me up on the sidelines. I was scared as hell as it felt like I was walking on the water. The experience was hilarious as I fell a few times when I tried to stand up inside the ball. The major aim of staying inside the ball is to try and run to the bank if the river. 1000110787.jpg After some time I was feeling warm inside the ball due to the fact that the balls was obviously sealed to prevent water from entering it. I tried to scream a couple of time out of fear to get out of the ball but all I was met with was cheers from my husband and people standing by. The experience was filled with so much laughter, and of course videos and pictures to capture the moment.

After that we went ahead to the kayaking section where we both kayaked together. I would admit that I enjoyed the kayaking more than the bubble balls. The feeling of being able to paddle at your own pace to whichever part of the water you like is an amazing feeling. It is the first time I was trying out these activities and with a short tutorial I was able to paddle like a pro. 1000110789.jpgI did that for about twenty minutes enjoying every bit of the moment that I didn’t want to go home again. Never to forget that I felt the effects of paddling on my arms and shoulders when I got home later in the day - this is as a result of being in motion constantly.

It was such a sweet and memorable experience that I'd love to recreate soon. This time around I'd love to do it in the company of more friends and families.

It looks like a lot of fun, I went kayaking only once but had a good time. I'm not sure I'd go into that ball on the water though.

It's actually very fun. The bubble ball was actually fun as well.
