The year is coming close to an End and no doubt God's Love and Faithful are all over us. You will agree with me that 2022 was a blessed year notwithstanding all we went through. Me for and my family I have no reason to be ungrateful to God. He kept us and preserved us.
Today we had the opportunity to express our gratitude to God for His faithfulness. It wasn't about bringing material gifts to God rather it was about coming to Him with a sincere heart of gratitude and thanksgiving. Just like the ten lepers who were healed in the bible, the Bible stated clearly that only one returned to say thank you. And Christ ask weren't they ten healed? This means God expects us to be thankful, not just to Him alone but to everyone who has shown us any act of kindness.
I have been opportune to visit the hospital several times this year... I was dumbfounded at what I saw with my eyes. Men were living like vegetables; not even their wealth/connections/fame could set them free from the torment of sickness and diseases. But, here I am breathing in oxygen freely without any form of payment while many are spending millions to gain access to this same oxygen. I woke up daily with all parts of my body functioning perfectly, while many lie in the hospital with different parts of their body malfunctioning. Indeed "if it had not been the lord who was on our side..."
The year started rough no doubt about that. I had a lot of expectations for myself and my family. Yes, not all of mine expectations have been fulfilled but a vast majority of it have. And, that and many more are enough reasons for me to be thankful.
Today also marked the birthday celebration of a woman with a heart of Golden heart "Mrs. Stella George". She is a Banker and a philanthropist. Her impact on the life of thousands of women can not be overemphasized. She is a role model, a pacesetter, and a trailblazer.
I have been privileged to meet different people in life, but I can attest to the truth that Mrs. Stella George is a rare gem. She believes in the rising of others.
We had a lot to eat and drink... Gifts flowed from one family to another for Christmas. It was an awesome moment of joy and happiness.
This weekend, for me, was just for celebrations. How did you spend your SUNDAY?
