I’ve seen @galenkp post about this weekend engagement concept a couple of times, and each time I tell myself or say in the comments I’ll participate, I forget or something comes up then and I don’t put in an entry. Not this time. I actually almost forgot to make an entry for this until I saw this Bowl Of Nuts Post on my feed and decided to check his profile. It brought me back to this weekend’s engagement ideas so here I am making my entry. My friend @zzzinnn’s entry and @smariam’s entry also motivated me more to make an entry myself.
Deciding to make an entry was one thing, and choosing the theme of my entry was another. I was conflicted which topic to write on because man, these topics are all things I have something to say about. I like space and the ocean, so if I had chosen the up or down theme, it would’ve been an even more difficult task on which way to go since I’m curious on both space and the universe inside the ocean. In the end, I chose to write “Your 500 words”. I wrote over 500 words though:)
I don’t know if you’ll find me interesting or my account interesting based on what I’m about to say, but since this is about me telling you why I think I’m interesting, that basically means we agree I AM interesting, you just don’t know why yet. But even if you don’t agree yet, you’re going to have to:), at least until you’re done reading this. Then you can make a judgement for yourself.
Personally, I feel like telling someone why you’re interesting is going to be a very difficult, near impossible task. Interest is relative and what you might think is interesting about you might not be what works as interesting for others. Knowing this, I know that the chances of you agreeing with my “interesting traits” are slim and maybe close to 0. I’m probably going to skip somethings I would consider silly to mention, but which might’ve actually sparked your interest. I’ll have to give you something though so let’s see what I’m about.
My Username
Let’s start with my username. If this was your first time seeing me around, my username is probably one thing of the underlying factors for why you clicked on my post. It stands out in a way. I haven’t been on Hive long (just 3 weeks) but I’ve been told many times my username is an interesting one by people here. Whiles a few people think my username is sad and derogatory, a lot more find it funny, hilarious and even mysterious. My username is linked to my next point.
What a coincidence! Writing this entry, I just got an Ecency notification about a comment left on my previous post where @dandays commented on whether my username meant I was actually depressed and fucked up. Maybe I can use this to clarify. Most of the information about that lies in my intro post which I will talk about later in this article. Putting it in short though, my username wasn’t given much thought when I was selecting and I just took one that matched my current mental state at the time. I’m not depressed (not anymore), and I realized a little later that my username had the effect of drawing people into my posts by peaking their curiosity.
My Intro Post
Let’s head over to My intro post for a quick skim through. Maybe not a minute, you’ll be there for a while, so just keep reading here if you don’t have the time to spare for a long story. You’ll be missing an important piece of this puzzle if you don’t read it though. From my intro post, you can draw a lot of conclusions, but the general one is that I was a wonderer(still am) and an idiot(was) and that I stumbled on Hive to make some quick cash.
That changed after some bitter-truth comments were left on my intro post that made me really hear what I needed to. Before you tag me as one of those people posting here on Hive for the rewards, maybe a look at my posts and wallet activity will change your mind. I mean, I did come here primarily for the rewards at first, but I’m enjoying being here and writing so much, and engagement with a number of people have helped me understand to just do what I enjoy doing and not expect anything in return. As much as I like the rewards, that’s no longer the primary reason I’m here, but just a plus.
From my intro post, what you’ll gather is that in my wonders, I engaged with a lot of ponzi schemes and eventually, the futures market, and that fucked my pockets up real bad. I was as delusional as they come when I stumbled on Hive.
I’m A Bridge To Other Side of The World
What am I talking about? I’m from Ghana. If you’re reading this post, chances are that even if you’re from Africa, you’re not from Ghana. What does this mean for you? It means you get to read about the life of a Ghanaian and see the Ghanaian way of life and culture through his eyes. Or words and pictures if we’re being literal lol. Point is, I write about my life(Ghanaian life), and this is pure, raw, front row exposure to a 21 year old Ghanaian Biochemistry student’s life. That covers how we school, party, and do things around here and some other things like our food. You can check this post on the Tunnis court party or this one one a Food Event just this weekend.
I’m a Hamza of all trades!
I want to say Jack of all trades, but that would mean I’m an expert at things(which I’m not) so instead I’ll say I’m a Hamza(my name) of all trades. Here’s what I mean by that. I joined Hive just recently and I haven’t exactly found my niche yet. For now, I write about my present, like it says on my profile. My present could be anything. I write about school, mental health, parties, anything related to me at the time of writing. This, what I’m telling you now, is my present and that’s what you’re reading.
My content is not based on one thing is what I’m trying to tell you. I share based on what’s happening with me. Some days when I see moves in the markets, I even share crypto analysis (yes, this dummy can read the charts a bit). I’ve only really done that once so far though. Technical analysis takes time, and I haven’t had so much of time to carefully toy analysis.
I Cuss
If you’re looking for someone on Hive who you can curse with, your search is over. I cuss for a living on a normal day lol. Not that I cuss for every sentence I say, but I don’t dodge it when I have to. Some people are going to have a problem with this, others are going to love it. I’m sharing though am I not?
I have a great sense of humor
Me, I like people that have a great sense of humor, because they’re just easier and fun to talk to. A joke loses it’s value once you have to explain it and even worse if you have to explain it over and over. I like people you don’t have to explain the jokes to.
Some people say you’re born with a sense of human or you just never have it. Other people argue you can develop a sense of humor from reading books and exploring. I agree with both classes of thoughts, but I would say in my opinion that…wait, I don’t have an opinion on this. It is what it is. You either have a sense of humor or you don’t, and it’ll be a lot better and fun to talk to people with a sense of humor.
Like I said, this is a very difficult task writing about why I think I’m an interesting person: I don’t know what to tell you. Maybe that is just because I’m not much of an interesting person as I thought I was, or there isn’t that many interesting things about me as I thought. You’re going to have to engage with me to find out. Or hope that I engage with you some time:D For now though, this is pretty much what I can say. Have a good day!
