Hello friends, happy weekend, I hope you have had an excellent Sunday, today I come to leave you my contribution to the theme of the weekend, this time I chose the theme "Finish the line" and I selected the subtheme I don't believe in religion because... Since I was a child I have grown up in a very Catholic family, I remember a lot going to mass every Sunday with my grandmother, getting bored with so much verbiage like every child and learning many biblical stories thanks to the first communion, the truth is the experience of attending communion every Sunday after mass and making friends seemed like a pleasant experience, but as time went by I started having basic questions that none of my tutors in the church knew how to answer, so little by little I moved away from the church and started to explore other varieties of Christianity, I needed more answers apart from having faith and blindly believing in the bible without questioning anything, unfortunately as time went by I discovered that nobody knew absolutely nothing and that the bible was basically based on interpretations whose answers gave me They generated more questions, at that moment was when I completely abandoned Christianity, I was very young, I was about 13 years old, I remember how upset my grandmother and mother were when I stopped attending church, they couldn't believe that I had become a atheist but, even i didn't feel like an atheist, i wasn't ready to abandon my spiritual side i just felt i needed a religion with solid foundations and answers since chance has never been my thing.

Around the years 2006-2007 I knew what the Internet was, in fact I did have a small idea of what it was thanks to television, but I lived in a small, almost rural town very far from the city and the truth was that technology took a long time. Upon arriving, I remember the cybercafé boom and spending many hours researching a bit of everything, there was a time when I became very obsessed with religions, I had many existential doubts and I needed to know the why of things, I needed something to believe in and the truth is that the Internet was my definitive source of knowledge, I was able to research a lot about religions and unfortunately I came to the conclusion that the bases of religions are about blind faith, believing in ancient stories about divine beings that once populated the earth or beings that do not observe all the time and measure our behavior, is something that from a very young age seemed absurd to me.

Simply believing in a god or gods is not my thing, it is my perception of the world, I am currently about to turn 29 and until now I have not changed my decision not to believe in any religion, if you ask me what I believe, I can say that I believe in being a good person and being a good citizen, helping others, taking care of my family, being good to animals or taking care of this planet, you don't need a religion to be a good person, it's almost like justify your actions simply to go to heaven, we must be good because it comes from our hearts, not to obtain a divine benefit, is my opinion on the subject.

And well friends, I hope you liked my contribution to the theme of the weekend, as always I really enjoyed writing about the topic I chose, I hope you liked it, thanks for stopping by, see you in the next post, see you next time.

¡Thank you for reading!

¡Until next time!
